New Fence!

The new fence is almost completed! As always, my husband takes things to the next level. Not only do we have a beautiful fence, but we also have a lovely trellis on the side of the house. My dad also came down and helped. The yard feels so much bigger with the new layout. My baby bjorn carrier has proven a very helpful device. I've been able to strap J on and still help out with a little bit of the work, and J loves to be snugged up against me. We still need to put wire behind the fence and we're also awaiting the post caps. When they arrive we can cut down the posts to the correct size, and then stain the wood.

Fencing

W's next project is fencing. We had an ugly old chain link fence that we took out last weekend. Even that was an improvement. W spent hours outside in the blazing heat (it was about 100 degrees) with a rented jack hammer, tearing out the cement footers from the old fence. Now he's moving on to the planning phase of the new fence. It's going to look really nice- and it'll enable us to get a dog sometime in the future!
